Bottom Line:
This is a foundational course designed for students building proficiency in engaging targets with a .223/5.56 carbine reliably to 600yds while offering a level of depth to those who have been doing it for years.

Course Flow:
2-3 hours of classroom overview of equipment selection, rifle setup, and ballistic tools. Zero confirmation at 100yds to gather muzzle velocity, then we will move to data confirmation out to at least 600yds, positional shooting, multi target engagements at various known distances, and finally a closeout with “homework” for students to continue their progression.

Requirements:

  • Reliable, zeroed, and cleaned carbine capable of maintaining 2” groups at 100 yards with the ammunition you will be shooting
  • 300 rounds of ammunition
  • Two magazines
  • Small tools to make adjustments to optic if needed
  • Eye protection
  • Hearing protection
  • Note taking material
  • Food/Water
  • Weather dependent clothing

Recommended:

  • Optic capable of at least 6x magnification
  • 20 round magazines

5pm is the scheduled end time however we have the range until 7pm if required.
